Olympus Camedia C-4000 Zoom
The Olympus Camedia C-4000 Zoom is a “vintage” consumer-grade digital compact camera featuring a silver-and-gray plastic body. It is recognizable by its prominent, ergonomic right-hand grip, which houses the battery compartment. Launched by Olympus on June 25, 2002, the C-4000 Zoom was introduced as an affordable, feature-packed alternative to their high-end C-4040 model. At release, it carried an original retail price (MSRP) of $449 USD.
Lens: Equipped with an Olympus 6.5–19.5mm f/2.8 zoom lens (3x optical zoom, equivalent to 32–96mm on a 35mm camera).
Sensor: Utilizes a 3.9-megapixel CCD sensor that produces distinct, early-2000s Y2K digital imagery.
Controls: Includes a physical mode dial on top, an optical viewfinder, a small 1.8-inch LCD screen on the back, and full manual exposure options (PASM modes).
Power & Storage: Runs on four standard AA batteries (or two CR-V3 blocks) and records data onto an SD card.
